October 25 Greater
Waterbury Chapter Meeting
November 12 MICAH Dinner 6:00pm
Last Saturday, people from
across the Naugatuck Valley came
together for our annual Issues Assembly.
During this event, community members
determined what issues the organization
will tackle in the upcoming year. Our
members decided to work on (1) reducing
hospital readmission rates in local
hospitals and (2) addressing issues
concerning elder care.
The Issues Assembly also served as an opportunity to bring folks
together, across lines of difference.
For three decades the Naugatuck Valley
Project has brought together liberals,
conservatives, the religious, and the
non-religious. We work together as a
single community, aiming to improve the
lives of every person in the Naugatuck
We are building on the success of this
year's Issues Assembly. On October 25,
at 6:30, we will hold the Greater
Waterbury Chapter meeting. We will
discuss next steps in tackling the
issues we identified at the Issues
Assembly. Please invite members of your
congregations and unions.
